Open access

“Science and technology for all to improve the knowledge in different fields”

Open access is vital for the development of a collaborative, inclusive and transparent world of research where quality knowledge can be shared and built upon globally. We offer a wide choice and flexibility for every researcher and institution around the world that wants to publish open access, without compromising on research quality, integrity and value.

Publishing options

RDR is an open-access journal. Once the article is accepted for publication, authors can publish their article without any Article Processing Charge (APC). The final version of the published article is then free to read for everyone.

Publishing open access offers several benefits:

  • Increased citation and usage: Studies have shown that open-access articles are viewed and cited more often than articles of subscription.
  • Greater public engagement: Content is available to those who can't access subscription content, mainly research scholars and students.
  • Increased interdisciplinary conversation: Open-access journals that cross multiple disciplines help researchers connect more easily and provide greater visibility of their research.
  • Wider collaboration: Open-access publications and data enable researchers to carry out collaborative research on a global scale.
  • Faster impact: Researchers are empowered to build on existing research quickly using the available literature.
  • Compliance with open access mandates: Open access journals and books comply with major funding policies internationally.

Creative Commons licences

Open-access articles are generally published under Creative Commons licences. These provide an industry-standard framework to support easy re-use of open-access material. Under Creative Commons licences, authors retain the copyright of their articles.
